Police: Phillips Exeter deans violated sex abuse reporting law

“What we do here at the county attorney’s office is we look at if the state can prove a case beyond a reasonable doubt.”

Here is what we know:

There is a NH law in place requiring the reporting of sexual assault on a minor by ….”ANY……..school official” (RSA 169c:29)

The minor student reported the incident, and it was CONFIRMED to have happen.

The two deans involved acknowledged they received the report, and believed that the incident did happen. Yet these deans believed they were not required to report the incident to the property authority (insert “Duh” expression here). At least that is what the deans are stating publicly.

The Rockingham County Attorney is wrong, and this reeks of impropriety.
