MSNBC’s Eleanor Clift: Medicaid Money is “Free Money” Whoo Hoo!

During the July 7^th (2012) broadcast of the Melissa Harris-Perry show (on MSNBC), Eleanor Clift made two ridiculous statements in the span of a few seconds (from the show’s transcript):

Eleanor Cliff – When I listen to the governors, I think of the governors who stood in the schoolhouse door on the steps in the ’60s. It was massive resistance and it ended. First of all, in the affordable care act, .if the state refuses to set up an exchange, the government does it for them. Bobby Jindal can’t get away with that. On the medicaid money, it is free money………

As usual, the panel was stacked with liberals, because MSNBC fears how a competent conservative would easily make most of the panel (oh, who I am I kidding…….all of the panel) look like the daft fools they really are.

The whole discussion is worth watching, if not for laugh factor, but also to see the insane mind of a liberal on full-display.

Regarding Ms. Clift’s statements, a few points that need to be made:

Statement: “When I listen to the governors, I think of the governors who stood in the schoolhouse door on the steps in the ’60s.”

Rebuttal: You have got to be kidding me.  Comparing a State’s right to refuse money from the federal government to the segregation (at the hands of DEMOCRAT governors) that denied Blacks access to colleges in the South is preposterous.

States must outweigh the money received to the undue influence the Federal Government would impose. Additionally, if a State does not feel that Obamacare is in their best interest, than obligated to refuse the money.

Statement: First of all, in the affordable care act, .If the state refuses to set up an exchange, the government does it for them

Rebuttal: This is a paramount statement, because it goes to one on the main issues that many have with Obamare; it is a direct assault on 10^th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, and an affront to the sovereignty of a State. Furthermore, the act of forcing the implementation such as Obamacare on a State such as New Hampshire would be in violation of their State Constitution (Article 7 – State Sovereignty).

Statement:  “On the medicaid money, it is free money….”

Rebuttal: No Ms. Clift, it is not ‘free money” as you (and all socialist/liberals/progressive) so callously believe. That money comes from someplace…either as part of a worthless patch of printed dollars. Or, from the pockets of hard-working Americans.

Ms. Clift, a little piece of common-sense for you to remember before you open your month regarding free money – “You must pay for everything in this world, one way and another. There is nothing free except the grace of God.” – Mattie Ross (True Grit)

Ms. Clift just can’t help it…she doesn’t know any better. That is why MSNBC really needs to make sure their panels are well-rounded….to ensure their audience eventually hears the truth, and not just the delusional rantings of an all Left-panel.
